Platform

Inclusiveness –

All members of Ashland’s diverse community deserve to be heard.

Economic Balance –

Ashland faces dramatically different challenges than just a few years ago.  Today, we must encourage healthy businesses while maintaining Ashland’s character.

Regional Cooperation –

Ashland must continue to build on its improved relationships with Hanover county, with other local government in the region and with Randolph Macon College.  Ashland is in a much better position to strike “win-win” agreements with these and other entities.

Fiscal Responsibility –

Ned has been willing to make difficult choices to keep budgets flat while facing a weak economy, escalating cost pressure and increased demands from the state.
